Our Accommodation

This attractive self-catering holiday cottage sleeps 2 guests. It has only 4 ground floor rooms around a central hallway and the accommodation is comfortable and warm. Although small our guests love its ‘cottage appeal’ with the 3ft thick walls of the original 200 year old building which has been both a smithy and a cottage.  In the 1950’s it was made into a charming little home for the retiring housekeeper of the nearby estate.  A modern kitchen extension was added more recently and the whole cottage has been furnished to a high standard.

This self-catering holiday cottage is one of only 8 houses in the crofting township of Crepigill, appro

ximately 5 miles (8km) from Portree, the capital of Skye.  With a private car parking space and set within a fenced garden which is surrounded by common grazing land, you may even wake up to cows outside the garden fence!

From the garden path a bright yellow front door leads straight into the modern dining kitchen extension with all facilities, including electric cooker, fridge, microwave and automatic washing machine.

From the kitchen and through the original front door of the cottage you enter a central hallway. This gives access to a small comfortable sitting room brightly furnished with tartan curtains where TV, DVD player, CD player, glowing stove, local books and games as well as other visitor information, including a history of the cottage and a description of Skye rocks, are all provided.
The bedroom has a delightfully draped large double bed and wardrobe with drawer space.  The shower room is a light spacious room.  All rooms feature pictures painted by local artists. All bedlinen, towels, electricity and WiFi are included in the tariff.

The garden has a picnic bench and sample specimens of Skye rocks as well as a shed which is ideal for storing bicycles, muddy boots, fishing gear, golf clubs etc.

This holiday accommodation is non-smoking. Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets, except guide dogs.
